Today I had a moment of clarity....

A very good friend of mine has found out her mum has cancer. I guess we all hope we neve hear those words, but sadly to more of us than we would like to think, it does happen and we DO hear those words..."I'm sorry you have Cancer". I have been dwelling on this for a few days now. It is so close to my own family I can almost feel it, and I can not even begin to imagine what they are all going through. Of course I have done the emails and cards and ket in regular touch, but it never feels quite enough. Unfortunately being here in Spain it is never easy.
So a few days have gone by and then another friend of mine found out a friend of his (at 26) has been diagnosed with bowel cancer. I guess 2010 is the year for it eh! It makes you realise how short life is and how important the people you love in your life are. I am over soppy and often tell friends and family that I love them, but next time you hug, hug a little tighter, next time you kiss, kiss a little deeper and next time you tell someone you love them, look them right in the eyes right through to the soul, so if you never wake tomorrow they will always know.
Life is sooooooo short.
I am going to design something this weekend to sell on behalf of Cancer UK, I have decided, I am going to do my part. Please take a look at this blog and follow Paul's experience:
