When is too soon for Christmas...??

 

 

 

I frikking love Christmas.....no...thats not strong enough...wait...I LOVE CHRISTMAS, But I also appreciate that there are those people out there who loahe every crappy Christmas card posted through their letterbox and can´t wait till the whole thing is over with and they are lugging the Christmas box back up to the loft for another year. So...with that in mind, I started to thinking..when is too soon???

 

I cater a lot for the American market as well as the UK and European market and with America having thanksgiving and a lot of people putting their tres and decorations up early, I always start that Little bit earlier with advertising my Christmas stock. I think part of me just loves the build up to the big day. As kids we never really had much, but my mum would always make it this magical and fantastic day anyway, I have her to thank that the magic hasn´t ever really gone away :)
So the Christmas stock is out. I´m really sorry to the people who wish it wasn´t...I wish I could sprinkle some of my Christmas fairy dust on you and (although I agree that Christmas is over commercialized nowadays), help you to see it isn´t about that - it´s about family, love, time together and "making that extra special bit of an effort" with people you don´t always have time for.
Mmmmm Christmas....... :)

Guilty feelings....

 

 

Okay...so I started feeling bad. It´s been such a long time since I posted anything and made new stock, well...actually....I have made new stock, but I have been very bad and not shared it with you lovely people :( I´m so sorry! BAD SAM!

So...here are my most recent makes (I totally love them). Felt is by far, my most favourite fabric to work with, most of the things in my shop are felt, but occasionally....just occasionally....I move back to lovely soft fabrics.

 

To blog...or not to blog...that has been my question!

WOW! It has been well over a year since I last "blogged" and what a year it has been!!!!
It is amazing how much your life can change in 12 months!!!

I was all set to return home to the rainy UK, when I found the love of my life, (in actual fact I found him a loooooong time ago when I first came to live in Spain and we have been friends all these years...but this is a long story!!!) and within one year we have moved in together and got engaged and then only last month we had a truly magical wedding here in Girona....right in the middle of the forest surrounded by the people we love the most, it was amazing. Check out what a lucky girl I am...how hot is my husband!!!??? :)

 

 

So...as you can see my life has been very, very full and busy in the last year....I hadn´t forgotten you....just put you slightly to aside for a while, but I can assure you you will be hearing a lot from me super soon...I have lots and lots of plans for the shop ;)

Milo, my cat, is very, very cheeky. On Sunday morning he cried and cried and pawed at my duvet to me up early....only for me to find him in my bed less than hour later! :) Cheeky boy! He has mastered climbing under the duvet and snuggling up...but seeing him laying his head on the pillow as well did have me in stitches! lol :)

I don't have many purpley things in the shop and on my last fabric buying session I purchased some lovely purple gingham and some strong purple felt, then on Sunday I suddenly felt inspired! :) Check out my "Twit-twoo" owl! I think he's super cute. There is going to be a whole line of these gorgeous purple owl's so keep an eye on the shop this week to see more!

Insiration is such a hard thing to find sometimes and I wasn't feeling inspired for such a long time :( I think the day job had been taking too much of my brain just recently! :) So thank goodness I am now inspired!

Pin interest love

Sorry I've not been around guys...the day job has been taking over :( I took eleven students to London for the weekend (last weekend) with a colleague and it took a lot of planning!!!

However, fingers crossed the day job is calming down a bit now!

Not much to report I'm afraid guys...I've been working on a few orders I got this week, but I did want to shout out to pin interest (pinterest.com) for basically being just amazing! :) Full of inspiration, beautiful things and "how to's" - I love it!

Getting organised for the BIG move home...

I've been getting busy and organised for the BIG move home to the UK this year. I plan on moving back in July/August (dependant on many things). So I have been making things for craft fairs, as while I am inbetween jobs I am going to have to make some money somewhere..!! So I have been crafting away and making loads of things. These button brooches/pins are just one line of the many things I have been making. Don't they look like sweets? :) mmmmmm.... However...sweets without the calories! and at this time of year we all could do with some of those!!! :)

It's the Easter holidays at the moment, so I have a few days off work :) I have managed to get Milo to the vets to get him started on his pet passport for his BIG move to the UK as well, he wasn't happy about it and came home and went straight to my bed and hid under the duvet! :) He has however, now ventured out and seems to be much happier. Poor pussy-cat! :)
